I've made a few videos trying to show the intricate carving of the frame. This is amazing.

I can't imagine what it takes to hand carve something like this. Nothing is repeated, it has a theme, there all connected.

 My guess is this was created for the painting. I can't imagine this was carved for a generic painting..
